The club is aimed at Green Laning, rather than full trials or racing, and so a full fire-breathing truck is not a necessity to take part! The most important requirement is that your vehicle is roadworthy and insured for Green Laning. After that a few simple preparations will enable you to join in with most of the routes. These include:
- Differential Guards
- Mud Terrain Tyres
- CB Radio
From there, the sky is the limit, and club members will be happy to advise on the suitability of suspension lifts, winches, snorkels, and so on.
Membership is £10 per year, due from 1 June each year.
The fee for joining after 1 Jan is £5 for the year to the end of May.
The club meets on the evening Second Tuesday of the month, with a club outing on the Sunday after that.
A proposed list of routes is set out at the beginning of the year, but members are encouraged to organise trips on other dates if they wish.
The Club has no fixed base for the social meeting at present.
We are sampling various venues to see which is the most suitable and convenient for the members, which means that it will normally be somewhere not far from Bristol Airport.
